MSBA GMAT/GRE Waiver Request Form

Thank you for your interest in the Boston University MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. If you are interested in applying to this program, we will consider your request for a GMAT/GRE waiver provided you meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

You can review our latest MSBA Class Profile to get a sense for the test score median and test score ranges.

  • Strength of overall academic record (including GPA/grades, academic institution, major(s), relevant coursework, in particular prior coursework in programing and statistics or quantitative methods).

  • Amount and relevance of work experience.

Historically, 70 to 75% of admitted MSBA applicants provide test scores. Candidates who are admitted to the program are considered for merit-based scholarships at the time of admission. Candidates who submit competitive GMAT/GRE scores may increase their chances of qualifying for merit scholarships upon admission to the program.

  • You must formally request the GMAT/GRE waiver prior to submitting your application. Candidates should expect a response to their request within two weeks, so please plan accordingly when submitting your request below.

  • You may not request a waiver if you have already taken the exam and requested your scores be sent to Boston University Questrom School of Business.

  • We will consider GMAT/GRE waivers for the MSBA 2024 entry only.
The decision to grant the GMAT/GRE waiver is made at the discretion of the admissions committee. If granted a GMAT/GRE waiver, the admissions committee may, in rare cases, still ask you to submit a GMAT or GRE score to aid in evaluating your candidacy. In the event we need this additional information, we will inform you once your application has been initially reviewed.

If you have any questions about this form, please email

Please provide the email that is, or will be, associated with your application to Questrom.
